Warning signs cluster in three areas: how the practice sells to you, how the surgeon speaks about outcomes, and how the operating environment is described.
On selling: same-day booking discounts, deposits requested before a proper consultation, and pushy follow-up from a 'patient coordinator' rather than the surgeon. On outcomes: guaranteed results, no discussion of risks, dismissive responses to your questions, or images of results that do not resemble the surgeon's actual work.
On the operating environment: an unclear answer about which hospital or day clinic will be used, no named anaesthetist, or theatre in an environment that is not properly accredited. Every aesthetic operation in this practice happens in a fully licensed hospital with an independent specialist anaesthetist.
One more red flag: any surgeon who is willing to operate on you today without an examination first.
