Booking & cancellation
How consultations and surgery are booked with Dr Danie Hoffmann's rooms, and what happens if an appointment has to change.
Requesting an appointment
An enquiry sent through the contact page is a request, not a confirmed booking. The automatic email you receive confirms only that the request reached the rooms. Your appointment is confirmed when the rooms contact you with a date and time. You may also telephone +27 64 400 4605 during consulting hours.
- Monday · 12:00 – 17:00 — Kempton Park rooms
- Tuesday · 14:00 – 17:00 — Sunward Park Netcare session rooms
- Thursday · 12:00 – 17:00 — Kempton Park rooms
Fees
The consultation fee is R 1 200 and is payable in cash on the day of your appointment. The rooms do not have card facilities for consultations, so please bring the fee with you. Any surgical quotation is given to you separately, in writing, before anything is booked, so there are no surprises. Surgical quotations are itemised and include the separate accounts you will receive from the anaesthetist and the facility.
- Consultations: R 1 200, cash only, paid on the day
- No card facilities in the rooms for consultations
- Surgery: itemised written quotation before anything is booked
- Anaesthetist and hospital accounts are billed separately
Aesthetic surgery is generally not funded by medical schemes. Where a procedure may qualify, the rooms will tell you what motivation is required, but no scheme outcome can be guaranteed.
Changing or cancelling a consultation
Please give the rooms at least 24 hours' notice if you cannot attend, so the time can be offered to another patient. Repeated non-attendance without notice may mean future appointments are only held against payment in advance.
Changing or cancelling surgery
Theatre time, anaesthetist time and implants are reserved in your name well before the date. Cancelling close to the day may mean part of the deposit is not refundable, and the facility and anaesthetist may charge separately. The exact terms and dates that apply to your booking are set out in writing when you accept the quotation, and you sign them before any payment is taken.
If the practice has to postpone
Surgery is occasionally postponed for clinical reasons — an infection, an unexpected result on pre-operative testing, or an emergency. If the practice postpones, you are rebooked at the earliest suitable date and no cancellation charge applies to you.
Cooling-off
No one is asked to decide on the day. A consultation is a discussion, and it is entirely reasonable to go away, read, and decide later — or to decide against surgery. Where distance selling or consumer cooling-off rights apply under South African law, they are not limited by this page.
