Medical disclaimer

Why the information on this website is general, why results differ between patients, and why no photographs or testimonials are published.

General information only

The procedure pages, questions and articles on this site describe how operations are generally planned and performed. They are written to help you prepare for a consultation, not to replace one. Nothing here is a diagnosis, a recommendation for your case, or a promise of a particular outcome.

No doctor-patient relationship

Reading this site, sending an enquiry, or receiving an automated confirmation does not make you a patient of the practice. A doctor-patient relationship begins at a consultation in the rooms, after history taking and examination.

Results vary

  • Anatomy, skin quality, healing and age all change what surgery can achieve.
  • All surgery carries risk, including bleeding, infection, poor scarring, anaesthetic complications and the possibility of revision.
  • Recovery timelines quoted on this site are typical, not guaranteed.

No photographs or testimonials

In line with HPCSA guidance on advertising and canvassing, this website publishes no patient photographs and no testimonials. Line drawings are used instead to explain what is being planned. The reasoning is set out on the results page.

Emergencies

This website and form are not for medical emergencies, and the rooms do not operate an after-hours line. In an emergency, go to the emergency department of your nearest hospital.
