Conflict of interest disclosure

Dr Hoffmann has no financial or commercial interest in any hospital, day clinic, implant or device manufacturer, or product recommended to patients. There are no sponsorships, commissions, rebates or referral fees of any kind. Every clinical recommendation is made on clinical grounds alone.

Dr D Hoffmann Inc. is a private, doctor-owned practice. Dr Hoffmann holds no shareholding and no financial interest in the facilities he operates from:

• Netcare Sunward Park Hospital — Boksburg, Gauteng
• Centurion Day Hospital — Centurion, Gauteng
• Life Brooklyn Day Hospital — Brooklyn, Pretoria

A theatre is chosen on clinical suitability for the procedure, theatre availability, and what is most convenient and affordable for the patient. Nothing is earned by directing a case to one facility rather than another.

• No payment, commission, rebate, discount or sponsorship is received from any implant or device manufacturer.
• Implant type, size, profile and plane are selected on clinical grounds and discussed with you before surgery.
• No supplier has any influence over which patients are offered which procedure.

• No skincare, supplements or other products are sold from the rooms.
• No fee is paid or received for referring a patient to, or receiving a referral from, another practitioner.
• Referrals to other specialists are made purely on the basis of what the patient needs.

Dr Hoffmann attends professional congresses and training as part of ongoing registration requirements. Should he in future receive manufacturer-supported training, travel, speaking fees or research funding, or take part in a trial of a device or technique, it will be declared on this page before or at the time it happens.

• The consultation fee is R 1 200, stated up front and payable on the day.
• Surgical quotations are itemised in writing before anything is booked.
• Anaesthetist and hospital accounts are raised and billed separately by those providers, directly to you.
• No incentive, target or third-party arrangement influences whether surgery is recommended.

In line with HPCSA guidance on advertising and canvassing, this website publishes no patient photographs and no testimonials, and makes no comparative or superiority claims. The reasoning is set out on the results page.
