Do Plastic Surgery Results Look Natural?
Restrained planning gives restrained results. The best outcome is usually one that no-one can name.
'Natural' is really shorthand for two things: proportional to your own anatomy, and free of the tell-tale signs of over-correction. A rhinoplasty that leaves a nose looking too small for the face, or breast augmentation that ignores the width of the chest, is technically completed but not natural.
Restraint at the planning stage — one to two millimetres less, one implant size smaller, one procedure at a time — is usually the difference. The philosophy behind this practice is that the best result is the one nobody can point to.
This is also why the consultation is unhurried and drawn on paper. A written plan you can look at and think about at home is more likely to lead to a natural, considered result than a decision taken in the room.
